Our farm is in the Honaunau Valley in Captain Cook, on the Kona Coast of the Big Island of Hawaii. The farm is a beautiful place. We have our crops - our Kona coffee and macadamia nut trees, but also monkey pod, breadfruit, avocado, bananas, and banyan trees, which make the place feel like a park. Working the farm is something we do with pleasure.

When a coffee is called an estate coffee, that means that it was raised on one farm, as ours is, where we can assure its quality.

The classic Kona weather pattern is ideal for Kona coffee. The sunny mornings and cloud cover, and often rain in the afternoon create the perfect growing conditions for Kona coffee. The volcanic soil is also the perfect medium for our trees. With this ideal environment and the care we give our plants, we are able to produce our award winning gourmet Kona Café.

Kona Cafe was a finalist in the 2004 & 1997 Gavalia Kona Coffee Cupping Competition placing Kona Cafe in the top 2 1/2 per cent of Kona coffee farms. We also finished in first place in the 2003 Kona Spring Blossom Festival People's Choice Award for our Dark Roast. Kona Cafe placed in the Winners' Circle in the 2006 Gevalia Cupping Competition.
